The Learning Garden is a South Texas community teaching garden. It offers a safe learning space where anyone can learn how to plant, grow, and harvest fresh produce. Students then integrate the value of local food into their daily lives alongside experienced growers. Located at 3808 Up River Road in Corpus Christi, TX it is a medium-sized city with a nice walking track around it that attracts nearby residents. The Learning Garden also features many active demonstration sites throughout: light till and no-till tracts, raised bed gardening, a hoop house, a compost area, a worm composting tower, an herb spiral garden, a hugelkulture bed, native plant varieties, and a working beehive.
