October's Volunteer Work Day will focus on cleaning up the Birding Area. Park Rangers feed the birds in the Birding Area from November 1 - March 31. Duties for this Volunteer Work Day include cleaning bird feeders, cleaning bird baths, weeding the gardens and bird blind, cleaning up the bird blind and seed shed, along with other duties.

Meet: At the Bird Blind. Parking is available at the CCC Pavilion.

Bring: Clothing that can get dirty, sun protection, insect repellent, water, and a snack. It may be hot out, so come prepared to sweat. Tools and gloves will be provided by the park.

Cost: As a State Park Volunteer, you will get into the park for free. Those that volunteer for the whole work day (10am-12pm) will be able to enjoy the park for the rest of the day for free!
