Get in the holiday spirit by giving thanks in nature.

Join a park ranger for a calming, peaceful, mile-long gratitude hike. We'll hike the Turks Cap Trail in search of reminders for all that we have to be thankful for. We'll discuss mental, emotional, and physical benefits of practicing gratitude, along with ways to incorporate it into your daily life. All ages are welcome, but the hike is geared toward adults. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome. 

Where: Meet at the Turks Cap Trail parking lot near site #157

Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Insect repellant
• Drinking water

FYI:

• Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the program.

• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.

• Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged and can be done at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Use self-pay station when office is closed.

• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.

• Groups larger than eight, please contact Ranger Sara for a private event.
