Get of taste of kayaking to see if this is the sport for you.

Stop by any time between 9:30am and 11:30am to meet with rangers and take a short paddle in a park kayak to see if kayaking is for you.

Bring: Clothing that can get wet, a change of clothes, sun protection, and water. All other equipment will be provided by the park, including kayaks, personal floatation devices, and paddles.

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $5 for everyone 13 years and older, free for 12 and under.

Meet: At the kayak rental station. Park at the Opossum Bend Boat Ramp Parking Lot.

Note:

• It is recommended that you reserve your day-use entry for this program, as we often sell out on weekends. 
• Each child 12 or younger is required to be in a kayak with an adult.
• All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
