Discover your new favorite hobby: archery!
Learn and practice the basics of archery with a ranger. This program is an introduction to basic archery and will provide lessons and experience in archery safety and shooting skills. All archery equipment is provided. Must be at least 10 years old to participate. Please arrive at the Day Use Picnic Area at least 10 minutes before your designated start time.
Registration is required via phone (361-729-2858) or in person at Park Headquarters. Register for one of four time slots:
- 9:00-10:15 a.m.
- 10:30-11:45 a.m.
- 1:00-2:15 p.m.
- 2:30-3:45 p.m.
Where: Day Use Picnic Area
Bring:
- Closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes are best)
- Drinking water

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the program.

Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged and can be done at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Use self-pay station when office is closed.

Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
